Sir James Martin Criminal Law Moot WSU x USyd

The Western Sydney Law Students’ Association Competitions Subcommittee is pleased to announce the return of the Sir James Martin Criminal Law Moot in 2026, held between Western Sydney University School of Law and Sydney Law School.

Held in the historic Banco Court of the Supreme Court of New South Wales, this annual moot provides an outstanding opportunity for experienced mooters to represent Western Sydney University in a prestigious criminal law advocacy competition.

The competition honours the life and legacy of Sir James Martin, former Premier of New South Wales, Attorney-General, and Chief Justice of New South Wales. It also recognises his strong connection to Parramatta, his contribution to the legal profession, and his commitment to public education.
