about us
FOUNDED 1996 • WESTERN SYDNEY UNIVERSITY
The Association
The Western Sydney Law Students’ Association Incorporated (WSLSA) stands as the pre-eminent representative body for the legal scholars of Western Sydney University. Established in 1996, our foundation is built upon the collective ambition of students dedicated to excellence in jurisprudence.
Operating as a student-run, not-for-profit organization, we bridge the gap between academic theory and professional reality. Our committee, elected annually by the student body, works tirelessly to curate an environment where advocacy, integrity, and community flourish.

Our Core Mandate
Practical Advocacy
We focus on the practical side of law through skills-based initiatives such as our mooting competitions, which are tailored for every level and designed for students to grow.
Career Integration
Through exclusive firm networking nights and clerkship guides, we provide a direct pipeline from the Parramatta campus to a range of top-tier global firms.
Community & Connection
The WSLSA Community is our cornerstone. From our prestigious Law Ball to first-year mixers, we build professional networks that last a lifetime.
"To further the interests of all current students of the School of Law... advocating on behalf of Law Students by monitoring academic conditions and needs."
— WSLSA Constitution
A Significant Presence
The WSLSA maintains a formidable presence within the legal community both within and outside of WSU. Our events are highly anticipated fixtures in the academic calendar, known for their wild success and professional rigour. With over 2000 + students, we are the voice of the next generation of lawyers.
