About the workshops

Skills workshops are the foundation of the competitions pipeline.

Open to students at all levels, these sessions introduce practical legal skills in a supportive, low-pressure environment, and help students feel more confident before entering formal competitions. No experience is required — just an interest in advocacy and a willingness to learn.

What you gain

Why attend a workshop

Each session is designed to build the foundations that carry you into your first competition and beyond.

  • Build confidence

Develop comfort speaking, presenting and responding under pressure.

  • Learn from experience

Hear from judges, practitioners, academics and experienced competitors.

  • Prepare for competitions

Build familiarity with expectations, etiquette, structure and strategy.

  • Develop practical skills

Strengthen advocacy, legal reasoning, communication and professional presentation.
